Reason Number 1: For the Children!
Reason Number 2: For my Personal Growth <3. I joined UVU because I strongly advocate for a better future for our youth. I know that through UST Volunteers for UNICEF, I can unleash my potential and help other people in the process. I also chose this organization because I know that UVU has an environment where I can grow not only as an organization member but as a person as well.

WHAT ARE YOUR ACHIEVEMENTS AND CONTRIBUTIONS AS A VOLUNTEER AT UVU?

I have now successfully hosted 2 webinars throughout my UVU Journey, so excited for more! The webinars I have hosted are “Taboo, Tabi Po!” and “Internal Training 101: Fundamentals of Fundraising.” I’m still learning as I go and eager to join more events!

WHEN DID YOU START VOLUNTEERING IN UVU ?
I signed up for UVU during UST R101 but my first volunteering experience was in March for the webinar “Taboo, Tabi Po!” I took a leap of faith and auditioned as their host. Thankfully, the project heads believed in me and I finally got accepted to my first project in UST Volunteers for UNICEF.

WHY UVU?
I chose UST Volunteers for UNICEF as one of my organizations because my personal advocacy aligns with the organization’s advocacy. It also has a strong community that is always dedicated and committed to their roles in the organization.

WHAT CAN YOU SAY TO THE MEMBERS AND FUTURE MEMBERS OF UST UVU?
You’re going to have so much fun here! You will also realize that at the end of the day, everything we are doing has a reason and is worth the hardship. This is all for the kids! I highly encourage you to join the events because you will truly learn something new and make new friends!
