Volunteerism is giving one’s self and time to make a difference in someone’s life. It is the commitment you make as you give up the pleasure of resting during weekends. The over-pouring love you have that you want to share with people you never knew. It is the power and strength I held into, as I entered medical school hoping my experience as a volunteer could help me be inspired to be the change and create the change I want to see in the future.

The most challenging part as a volunteer is staying committed despite the busy lives we have. But this does not mean that we have to stop, we just have to find the right opportunities to fit into our schedules. After all, it is our duty, to help those in need and to share compassion for those who are suffering
