BRAVEHEARTS is a project wherein volunteers will be involved in a series of hospital visits and other activities aimed to help the patients of National Children’s Hospital who are presently battling cancer. The activities are focused on providing strength, hope, and light despite their condition. Thomasians who volunteer to participate in the project are given the chance to interact and engage in different activities with the children in hopes of alleviating the stress that can be caused by their condition. In line with this, the UST Volunteers for UNICEF created specially prepared recreational activities that consider the children’s situation to allow them to freely participate and express their thoughts, passion, and aspirations while being provided with utmost care and assistance. The primary objective of this project is to bring support to children in the midst of their struggles and to continue to stand against cancer that limits the children from executing their full potentials.
